Asus has recently launched four new devices to its Chrome OS lineup. The new launch includes Asus’s first tablet that will run on Chrome OS. The new devices unveiled by Asus are designed in a way to serve classrooms as they have tough bodies and flexible hinges which will make them withstand harsh conditions.

The first to the list is a tablet (model CT100), which Asus has added to its Chrome OS lineup. The tablet has been designed specifically for younger kids and has a thick rubberized chassis. CT100 has a 9.7-inch QXGA display covered in durable tempered glass. The tablet features 4GB of RAM, 32GB of onboard storage and is powered by Hexa-core OP1 processor made for Chromebooks.

The second device to the list is Chromebook Flip C214. The model is a successor to Asus C213. Chromebook Flip C214 has a rugged exterior, spill-proof keyboard, and a 360-degree hinge. Asus has designed the device in a way to be used as a laptop or as a tablet. World-view camera in C214 has been placed in the bottom right corner of the palm rest to make it user-friendly when used as a tablet. C214 has 4GB of RAM and 32GB of storage which is expandable via microSD or external storage through its USB Type-A port. Intel N4000 or N4100 Celeron processor powers the laptop cum tablet.

The last two devices that Asus added to the series are laptops. Both C204 and C403 have 180-degree hinges so that the laptops can be lied flat allowing groups of students to work together using one device. C204 has an 11.6-inch HD display, while C403 has a 14-inch HD display and both the models features 4GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, USB Type-C, and Type-A ports. Asus has used Intel dual-core Celeron processor to power C204 while the processor of C403 has not been specified by Asus, except it’s also dual-core.
