After Samsung Galaxy A7(2018) with three camera setup, Galaxy A9 (2018) the industry-first quad camera smartphone could land the Indian market with a price tag of Rs 39,000. As per the reports, the price of this new Samsung Galaxy A series smartphone will be somewhere close to OnePlus 6T in India.
Samsung Galaxy A9 (2018) was unveiled last month at the company’s 4X Fun Galaxy A event in Malaysia. The quad camera setup at the back of the phone is the key highlight which makes it stand apart from others. The quad camera setup consists of a 24MP AF primary sensor with f/1.7, a 10MP telephoto lens with 2X optical zoom and f/2.4, an 8MP sensor with an ultra-wide 120-degree lens, f/2.4 and a 5MP sensor for depth effect. While at the front the smartphone has a 24MP camera with f/2.0 aperture.
Talking about the display of Samsung Galaxy A9 (2018), the phone has a 6.3-inch full HD+ (2220×1080 pixel resolution) with an aspect ratio of 18.5:9. A9 is powered with Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor which is paired with either 6GB or 8GB of RAM. The internal memory of the smartphone is 128GB which is further expandable to 512GB with the help of a microSD card. The phone runs Android 8.1 Oreo OS and comes with a 3,800mAh battery.
To favor smooth multitasking, Samsung Galaxy A9 (2018) will be equipped with applications like Samsung Health, Bixby support, and App Pair. It has Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (2.4/5GHz), VHT80 MIMO, Bluetooth v5.0, ANT+, USB Type-C port and NFC which are suitable to make all sorts of connections with similar devices.
